Level II Security Officer
Training Course

7 hours instruction time.

Topics include basics of being and becoming a security officer, laws applying to security officers, personal communications and conflict resolution, use of force, citizen’s arrest, verbal and written communication skills, and emergency protocols. Students will take a written exam to show retention of the material.

Students will be introduced to the Texas Online Private Security (TOPS) Portal and how to register and complete their licensing process with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

This course is a prerequisite for Level III commissioning.

Course cost is $50 if taken separately in person or $29.99 as an online course.
