Pistol Basics and Experiences
Basics of Pistol Shooting
The NRA's Basics of Pistol Shooting (BOPS) course offered by Mid-Tex LTC is a full day course (classroom and range) covering firearm safety, nomenclature, maintenance, ammunition basics, and basic shooting skills.
License to Carry (LTC)
The Texas License to Carry (LTC) offers numerous benefits, including reciprocity in many other states, easier firearm purchases, and enhanced legal safeguards for self-defense. Licensed individuals are also permitted to carry in more locations with fewer restrictions than Permitless Carry, such as universities and most state and local government buildings.
Texas Defender Experience
The Texas Defender Experience teaches firearm safety, care, different pistol types, shooting fundamentals, common errors, and carrying a pistol. This is a custom hybrid of the NRA's CCW and Personal Protection in the Home courses that will take you from basic knowledge to carrying confidently while defending yourself, your family and your home from intruders and those who seek to do violence.
Texas Warrior Experience
Once you have completed the Texas Defender Experience, your next goal should be to learn more skills as a means to protect the ones you love with more confidence in situations outside the home.
Texas Champion Experience
Improve the skills you learned in our Texas Defender and Warrior Experiences in this four-day challenge and acquire new tools to be safer in public, more accurate when in contact, how to survive multiple contacts at once and mastering the pistol in a defensive role.
Texas Self-Reliance Experience
The five-day Texas Self-Reliance Experience aims to teach participants how to handle, carry, and use a pistol for self-defense safely, and defending your home by training competence, building confidence and revealing your courage.
Earning your LTC is included in this course.
This course is for ladies only and taught primarily by Shauna.
